OpenRouter’s public model catalog lists Tencent’s Hy4 as a new entry added on November 4, 2026. The entry describes the model as delivering “comprehensive and substantial improvements over Hy4 Preview,” with “particularly strong gains in agentic capabilities”; the catalog text Lens read is cut off after that. Tencent’s own announcement page, which was on the Hacker News front page on November 4 with 87 points, could not be read by Lens, so the details below come from OpenRouter’s catalog and from Tencent’s earlier preview release.

What OpenRouter lists for Hy4

  • Context window: 1,048,576 tokens, with a maximum completion length of 65,536 tokens.
  • Modalities: text and image input, text output.
  • Features: reasoning controls, tool calling, structured outputs and standard sampling parameters.
  • Price: $0.417 per million input tokens and $1.2505 per million output tokens, with cached input at $0.021 per million tokens.

The preview model

OpenRouter describes the earlier Hy4 Preview, listed on August 28, 2026, as a mixture-of-experts model with 49 billion active parameters out of 770 billion in total, designed for coding agents, complex tool-use workflows and productivity tasks, with the same 1,048,576-token context window. Tencent published Hy4 Preview weights on Hugging Face as tencent/Hy4-preview on August 27, 2026, with an FP8 version, under the Apache 2.0 license; the main repository showed 11,399 downloads and 533 likes when Lens checked. OpenRouter prices the preview at $0.7506 per million input tokens and $2.2509 per million output tokens, with a time-of-day price schedule.

What Lens could not confirm

The AI Weekly aggregator reports that the full Hy4 is a 770-billion-parameter open-weights model with a 1-million-token context window and added visual understanding and computer-operation skills, available through several Tencent platforms and OpenRouter with a 50% launch discount through December 31. Lens could confirm the OpenRouter listing and the context window, but not the open-weights claim: a search of Tencent’s Hugging Face organization on November 4 returned only the preview repositories for Hy4, and Lens could not read Tencent’s page to see where final weights, a license or benchmark results are published. Lens also could not confirm the discount; OpenRouter’s listed price for Hy4 is lower than the preview’s, but its catalog entry does not state a discount.

Lens did not read Tencent’s announcement, technical report or license for the final model, and did not test the model. Benchmark claims were not available to Lens and are not reported.
