Nvidia and Oracle Plan Multi-Gigawatt Vera Rubin Superclusters

Nvidia and Oracle announced at Oracle AI World on October 27 a plan to grow Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Superclusters built on Nvidia’s Vera Rubin NVL72 systems to multi-gigawatt scale.
Vera Rubin NVL72 systems and Vera CPUs are already generally available on OCI. The multi-gigawatt buildout and the HGX Rubin NVL8 server are still in planning, and the announcement gave no timetable, contract value or financing details.
The superclusters combine NVL72 racks with Oracle Acceleron networking and Nvidia Spectrum-X Ethernet. Nvidia estimates a $40 billion revenue opportunity per gigawatt for the Vera Rubin platform.
