Microsoft reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $92.3 billion, up 19% from a year earlier and its tenth straight quarter of record revenue, according to TechCrunch. Net income was $36.6 billion, up 32% on a GAAP basis.

Microsoft Cloud revenue reached $63.9 billion, up 30%. Capital spending was $45.2 billion, an all-time quarterly record. Commercial remaining performance obligation, which is contracted future revenue including from AI labs, rose 73% to $677 billion.

Microsoft has reorganized its reporting into two segments, Agents and Infra, and Devices and Consumer. Devices and Consumer revenue fell 3% to $15.5 billion, with Windows OEM and devices revenue down 22%.

OpenAI contributed about $10 billion of the quarter’s revenue, and Anthropic also runs on Azure. TechCrunch cautions that not all cloud revenue is AI, since many enterprises still run traditional software on Azure. The article quotes no executives and gives no forward guidance.
