Elon Musk said Grok Bot, xAI’s task-running agent, has no free tier. A pricing explainer published this week points out that base Grok still offers limited free access, despite the blunt framing of Musk’s post.

The distinction matters for users choosing between the standard Grok chatbot and Grok Bot, which can act on calendars, contacts and home apps.
