Over 40% of Pull Requests Now Start With an AI Agent, GitHub Says

More than 40% of pull requests on GitHub now begin as an AI agent’s first version, according to GitHub’s Octoverse report published October 28, as summarized in weekly roundups. That share was 17% in March.
The jump means coding agents now draft a large share of the changes that developers review.
