China’s Solar Additions Fall 53.9% in the First Nine Months of 2026

China added 110.83 GW of solar capacity in the first nine months of 2026, down 53.9% year on year, according to Mercom India.

Solar still led new capacity additions, with 38.8 GW added in the third quarter.
