Chinese technology companies have reportedly bought more than 1 million Nvidia gaming and workstation chips this year, according to the Financial Times, as reported by TrendForce on October 15.

Domestic AI chip supply is projected at 3.5 million units in 2026, including about 1 million made overseas, while total demand is estimated at far more than 5 million units.
